A paint polish removes a very thin layer of clear coat and so takes out scratches, car-wash marks and holograms. The grade tells you how much it removes.
Here you'll find every grade from Koch Chemie, Liquid Elements and Meguiars: heavy cut compound for deep scratches and weathered paint, medium cut polish for moderate scratches, finishing polish for deep gloss without holograms and one-step polish, which removes scratches and adds gloss in one go. Some come in 250 ml and 1 litre. For single scratches by hand there is Meguiars Scratch X.
